Thunder Alley 2010 Rules

CAPRARA’S THUNDER ALLEY SPEEDPARK - 2010 Rules

Thunder Alley Speed Park rules for 2010 will be based on the same rules as Adirondack
Speedway’s with the following amendments listed by class below.

4 – Cylinder Thunder Cars & Pickups
1. All same size tires required.
2. Side glass may be removed.
3. O.E.M. seatbelt required.
4. Window net on driver’s side required.
5. No roll cages.
6. Fire suit & helmet required.

4-Cylinder Sport Compacts
1. 58% left side weight max.
2. Pump gas or race gas only.
3. Track tire to be announced.

4-Cylinder Light Trucks
1. 58% left side weight max.
2. Minimum 5” ride height including crossmember.
3. Pump gas or race gas only.
4. Track tire to be announced.
** New for 2010 – Women’s light truck class **

Super Stocks
1. 58% left side weight max.
2. Cock pitting allowed.
3. Steering quickeners allowed.
4. Open compression rule.
5. Pump gas or race gas only.
6. Crate motors are allowed to run a spec 4-barrel carburetor.
7. Track tire to be announced.

Open Wheel
This class is open to any conventional dirt style open wheel car which includes IMCA, Sportsman,
358 and Big Block.
1. All cars can run any dirt style tire, Hoosier or American Racer.
2. No asphalt slicks or drag rubber.
3. Sportsman may run aluminum wheels, four barrel carburetors, crate or open motors.
4. IMCA may run alcohol, pump gas or race gas.
5. Sportsman, 358 and Big Block pump gas or race gas only.

Pro Late Models
1. Same as AIS type rules.
2. Track tire to be announced.

Spirit of the Rule
It is not possible to write or regulate individual rules which suit special individual needs, nor to
predict unusual circumstances and situations.

Therefore, the Spirit of the Rule shall grant the authority and responsibility for interpretation of
the written rules to the Race Director or his assistant to interpret the unwritten rule, in the
interest of fair competition. The Race Director’s interpretation of the unwritten rule shall be
binding on the competitor.
