PAYOUT ?

Postby Gunner on Fri Oct 23, 2009 8:49 am

are we going to get it or not ?

All this talk about rules is irrelevant ( If we dont get paid soon ) none of us are going to be too thrilled about even racing at a non paying track anyway. I have emailed 2 - times and called once and now we are just flat out being ignored when we ask about our payout !!! this racing thing is so expensive as we all know and to not even get a payout when we always have to pay our fee's is not right at all !!!!!!!!!!!! maybe some have money enough to do this without the payback but I for one rely on it along with my sponsors to be able to continue.
I can say that I got my checks all season and none of them bounced like I heard others had trouble with, But I paid a larger entry fee for the last race and I would like the payback ! we cant show up and say I will pay later and still race so why are we getting the run around when it's time for our pay ?

How are we to believe things are going to change or be better next year when already we are not getting paid ?

Scott Zehr,
what is going on, your suppose to be in charge - the racers that make these shows deserve to be paid !!

PLEASE RESPOND !!!

Are you kidding, Paul let anyone in for free, never. Did anyone seriously think they were gonna be paid for that last race? Car count was down because of all the crap that went on and the fans were just as pissed as the drivers cause the grandstand was nearly empty. He must have really gone in the hole on that one, after all the radio was advertizing what a $12,000 purse or something like that. Oh ya damm those radio stations and all that bad advertizing they did all season. It was never right cause when you got to the track it was always something different from what was advertized. It was a bad year for weather..that kept fans from the grandstands. Bad economy kept the car count down..didn't make money in the pits. Look at the bright side, drivers were allowed to use there payout from the week before to pay there way in, that way everyone didn't have to deal with the bad checks. An idea  maybe he is waiting for the banquet and he's gonna let everyone use there last payout to pay there way in! Afterall who would miss that fantastic buffet that food service Mary puts on and that great moral boosting speech about all the improvements Paul is making for next year  . And the best of all the poor Paul and his taxes part. Well this fool is a fool no longer, I will be looking at other options. While I'm pndering my options I think I will attend a professionally run circus like Ringling Brothers. :D

Has anyone called Tommy Cloce to see if he got paid? After all he won the ASA-Joe Gibbs Championship... Doesn't that make him the de facto torchbearer for the speedway... :P

If a cab driver gives you a ride, and you get out without paying, it's illegal...

If you eat a nice meal at a restaurant and run out the door without picking up the check, it's illegal...

If you have 60 racers over to your "racetrack" and have them put on a show without paying them for that show, IT'S ILLEGAL!

Isn't this theft of services?

Does this mean we're not getting anything from the point fund either?
...If it ain't broke, I haven't touched it yet...

as it was mentioned in another post, I heard there may be some legal action taken. I guess if that is what has to happen to get the pay we all earned then im on board.

anyone else on board ? WE EARNED IT !!

It's just too bad thats the way it has to be. I haven't heard of any other speedways having legal action taken against them just for the drivers to get paid.

no bashing here, just the facts point blank !!!!!!!!!

I have a 9 X 40 mobile home platform out back in the driveway if you come get it you can have it. Couldn't bring myself to scrap it or throw it out and I will never get to it. Not far to gunners from JCT Truck Caps.

Just Curious! Last I talked to the drivers they still weren't payed.Has that changed?Point money that was collected.Banquet?anything.Or is the great one still pouting cause someone disagreed with the horrendous boondoggle made. The trade shows are coming up these guys could use the couple extra bucks to buy a few things to be able to race at other tracks now.I just think that is pretty low to not pay someone that "worked" for you and entertained the fans. These guys also had expenses too..If you haven't been paid, I'll bet Uncle Elliot would represent you guys. Not only low, but there are certain laws that apply to the entertainment business, and or being a sub contractor ,being you guys receive 1099's at the end of the year don't you. and not being paid as contracted. It's just a crying shame that adirondack's stands were not at least 3/4's full every sat.night.It was a beautiful facility, lots of hard work and money went into it but run right into the ground by being constantly mismanaged. You wonder why people are disgruntled try paying them and treating them the correct way! 89brc jmo.

I have not been paid, Steve B said he talked to paul and was told the checks where being written as they spoke. I think that was last week sometime. It doesnt look like he plans on paying anyone. I heard wednesday 11th that he might still open for 2010 if he can get the water issue straightened around. no mention of building any road course though. I cant believe there are many that really want to go back after all the games that are played and stories told.

I've heard it both ways.. that the track is closed... and that it might open. It would be a much closer drive for me to race at AIS... but with others putting in the leg work to possibly get into Oswego or somewhere else... i would be more than willing to give some other track a try if I could. Seems like a lot of broken promises at AIS

We understand that some drivers still need to be paid. The track is making arrangements to get this done as soon as possible. However, people on here doing some of the complaining about payouts still owe AIS for tires that were charged on credit and have not been paid for.

Thank you
