Renegade Nationals Champion of Mavericks Weekend

As I write this letter I couldn't be more impressed and pleased with our local community. As a member of the Adirondack International Speedway promotional team, I write to you the race fans, the general public, and the local businesses that have shown support of the speedway over the years and especially during our "Handshake" to local business day held in conjunction with the season ending Renegade Nationals Invitational Race on September 26th.

In the weeks leading up to the event, the promotional team talked with hundreds of businesses throughout Lewis, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Oneida, and Oswego counties, asking for the privilege to use our distinct facility to showcase the great companies and local products that we in the north country overlook and take for granted. The promotional team was overwhelmed with joy when we discovered just how many businesses have come to realize over the years the unlimited potential that AIS has, not only as a racetrack, but as a premier facility to host community events such as Adirondacks "Handshake" to local business. It was proved that AIS is a great place to promote local companies and local products owned and manufactured by local people.

Think about it Northern New York, It is the local businesses and caring people that make the North Country the greatest place to live. We at Adirondack International Speedway are proud to be part of this great community. It truly was an honor to be able to host the "Handshake" to local business day.
Personally I want to extend a "Handshake" thank you to every sponsor that allows us to promote their company and their product. I must also give a "Handshake" thank you to each individual race fan that attends the racing events every year. If not for these great people who clear their schedules every Saturday night to attend the many events, Adirondack International Speedway would cease to exist. Just the thought of such a thing should be enough to scare anyone who cares about the community. The positive economic impact that AIS has had, and could potentially have on the area is only limited by the stubborn and shallow minded.

I want to thank also all of the drivers who brought their racing vehicles to the speedway for Renegade Nationals “Champion of Mavericks” Weekend at AIS. Special congratulations to Tommy Cloce, Mike Ramos, Ray Richer, and Brittany Schroy for winning their respective races and earning the “Champion of Mavericks” 2009 Title.

In closing I once again must thank everyone who has contributed to the speedway in any capacity. Your continued support does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. On behalf of the family here at AIS, to the "community family" of the north country, a "Handshake".

Sincerely,
Scott Zehr
