To me the crossmember is part of the frame. Also everyone I have talked to has said it is part of the frame. Yes probably the truck should not have been allowed to run in the ladies race because of the DQ, but it was only DQd for the men's race and that really wasn't my call.

Matt the reason I say that is because the way the rules are going to be written, there will be no way to argue about any kind of interpretation of said rule. It will black and white no gray area for interpretation one way or another.

I can think of one line in particular that needs to be removed or re-written.

"Speedway has sole discretion of interpretation of..." whatever consititutes a violation. This states that the speedway can interpret the rules any way they want rather than the way the rule was intended to be interpreted.

Like many other racers, I don't think it's going to matter what the rules say or how they are written, some things won't change.

Like many times before this #22 incident, it won't be tech's call in the future either, no matter what the rules say. This kind of stuff led to the 4 cylinder class becoming a highly modified class with only 4 or 5 competitive cars our of a class of 6 cars on the average race night.

all i can say is WOW. i was a big supporter of the track getting derbys together , counting cars and laps in the tower, going to the races every week but after the call that paul made on the # 22 truck. that has all ended after watching (2) people loose there championchips due to an broken rule that was over turned. So paul throws the # 44 ss car out for rough driving but lets the #22 truck CHEAT ?? if the truck class races sept 26 than you guys let paul WIN and if you show up than the #22 truck of rose gets away with it. I GUESS ITS TIME FOR THE WATSON BOYS TO GO TALK TO CHIP BURDICK.
