"North Country Racing"

Saw on WWNY Channel 7 website a link to North Country Racing.. a special section they have devoted to stock car racing in the area. I thought at first -- great! but then I noticed AIS wasn't included in any of it. Is this a lack of work on AIS part or is this something AIS is being left out of?

Hello Billy,

I watch it weekly during mel's sport section, I believe it a advertisement thing that Carpara's sponsor the spot hense it is a Can-Am and Thunder Alley, also 1410 Wenr does a Local sports each week 5-6pm( something like you had set-up, and they have Chip on each thursday night, to bad that AIS does notdo something I believe the host is always looking for different things,

hope to see ya soon Billy

That certainly can be changed. During my time at AIS I found Mel Busler more than helpful and willing to cover Adirondack events/announcements. I'd be on the horn to get a few minutes on the air with him. Or - get in touch with Chip and/or the Capara's and see if you can buy your way into the "North Country Racing" feature. Also I bet Paul is forking the big bucks to Stephen (formerly Regent) Broadcasting for radio so demand air-time on WNER. You cannot miss these opportunities.

In the business I am in now - you need to be on top of things or your going to miss the boat whether its falling behind the competition or just failing to capitalize on opportunities that come your way. This doesn't even seem like AIS is missing the boat, so to say, because things like this should be normal procedure and normal practice.

Somebody get in touch with Mel and get AIS on the tube. Unique thing about TV News is that you have the viewers attention. It isn't a commercial or advertisement that you spend so much on.. Pound for pound free time on the areas #1 News Channel doesn't even compare to any radio let alone any other free advertisement!
