Black Flags

Postby Redlinefarms on Mon Jul 20, 2009 9:08 am

Lets just start out that when a driver gets told to go to the back of the pack because they were in an accident they need to only be told once. In the Light Trucks the #22 was told to go to the back of the pack because he was involved in a reck, It was a good 3 or 4 laps before he went to the back.

In the Late Models when the #4s was told to go to the pits and he didnt go it only took him 1 Lap to get the black flag. Thats all that it should take the drivers should only be told once to do something and if they dont listen then they need to be blacked flagged. They are all old enough to listen and know the rules.

The #22 truck Roose was trying everything he could do to get back infront of the #51 truck Dan Bellinger. Bellinger was not going to let Roose in, but if it had been someone else and had let Roose in I garenteee that they would have just waved the green flag because i have seen it 100 times.

Try inforcing the rules a little more and be fair about to everyone! Not just certain divisions!

Redline, I agree with most of your previous post, but the #22 truck did in fact go to the rear when he was told. The line up was being checked and verified for a couple laps then he was told to go back and he did.

The 4s car was involved in a deliberate attempt(in track officials eyes) to take out a fellow driver, the field was easier to sort out and thus quicker to reallign.

I talked to Dan on the phone yesterday. He thought someone with a radio was blocking him. I don't think this was happening and reassured him that the track does monitor the two way radioes. I know it is impossible to monitor all ststions during each race, but if something looks fishy they will listen in on their frequency. The only problem they seem to be having with the two way system now is that someone is transmitting on the one frequency during the truck races.

R VanTassel,
Thanks for verifying.

I am just a fan in the stands so i cant hear what they are telling Greg or anyother driver. After the races other people were saying that Greg was told to go to the back 3 laps before he did. . . but we all know how people talk.

I also feel that from where i was sitting that both the 4s and 11(i think it was) were at fault they both ran into eachother. Thats just a fans opionion. I also am a fan so i like seeing racing like that because we are all human and we all can have tempers! I go to all the races so I love seeing the exciting races.

The only difference between 4s and 11 was apparently the 4s made "significant" contact under caution. Here again it's a judgement call from the tower.

Anyone is allowed to listen to any frequencies on the track. The track frequency for the oneway radio that the drivers hear is 454.000. Any other frequencies you would have to get from the individual drivers. See me after any race and I will give you ours.
