Paul's Plan To Make It Right

Postby Todd on Mon Jun 08, 2009 11:16 am

Paul called me this morning and we had a good talk about June 6th. Call it whatever you want... misunderstanding, mis-communication, human error, whatever... The track cannot pay for its high operating cost if they let spouses and soldiers in for free on the same night. The concession stand doesn't make enough profit to make up for the lack of admission sales.

Paul is planning a special "Military Spouse Appreciation Night" to recognize the burden placed on the spouses during long deployments. This special day will be in August, on a day that is not yet chosen, but it will reflect on the schedule, even if I have to contact the web master myself.

The admission for the Miltary Spouse Appreciation Night will be free for military spouses with a valid spouse ID card and half price for soldiers with a valid ID card.

Other general admission prices are:

kids age 5 and under - Free

kids age 6-14 - $5

age 15 and up - $12

These may not be the prices for the special race nights such as the longer Late Model races and Nascar weekend. I am working with Paul and Jared to get these admission prices posted on the schedule link on the AIS web site.

Paul has good intentions with Adirondack Speedway, and he wants to give the military spouses their own special night of recognition.

Thanks Paul. If we all work together and communicate more clearly we'll get this kind of stuff worked out. I'll see all of you next weekend.

Right thing to do

It's probably not a good idea to piss someone off that can do things like in this photo! I will always volunteer to go to Ft Drum again to try and save face for AIS but more for SFC Todd Bailey who put his reputation on the line, to do something for his fellow soldiers. Next time piss off a drunk, it'll be better for your physical well being.

definitely a good decission to try and correct the mistake however i dont see where the confusion was in the beginning. here is men and women who would otherwise not make the trip. free admission means free admission and Im sure they came for that reason... your going to make more money on the soldiers letting them come in for free then letting them sit on base.
