Finishing order for the sport compacts...

Postby Plantz Signs on Thu Jun 04, 2009 6:15 am

After reading another post, the finishing order for the sport compacts is wrong. Schaffer should be scored at least 5th, behind the centro truck.

The video on Steve weed shows that Scott was at least 2, possibly three laps down before he got back on the track. The 44 truck was lapped twice by the leaders (got the second lap right before the checkers), but was only lapped once by Tim Dunn and myself, who finished 2nd and third. That would move the centro truck to 4th, still ahead of Scott.

Please review the video on steve weed productions. It clearly shows that this should be what the finishing order should be.

This class came down to less than 5 points last year for the points, so we need to make sure that we keep everything accurate in order to ensure at the end of the year everything is correct.

Order should be:
Ingersoll
Plantz
Dunn
Centro
Schaffer
Bailey.

Congrats to Ingersoll on the win...... You kinda checked out on us... Good Job.

Nate is almost right on the finish. I went 2 laps down to the winner. Scott got around me twice (I think) after he got his tire replaced. But Scott was 3 or 4 laps down by the time he got back into the race. I completed 13 laps... how many did Scott complete? Any less than 13 would put him in 6th, and 15 minus 3 or 4 equals 12 or 11 laps complete. But my job isn't to keep score. The announcers did say that Scott went 3 or 4 laps down. His flat tire happened on the back stretch on the 1st lap, and Scott wasn't able to complete the first lap. I'm just making an observation here. I'm not racing for a championship... obviously! And I'm not trying to be a score keeper. Heck, I don't even consider myself to be a race car driver... I'm just a guy who drives a race car :? .
