Congratulations and thanks to racers, officials and fans at Adirondack this past year. I enjoyed working with you all. There are some real racers at AIS who come out each and every week regardless of circumstances to compete and race with everything you have. It was fun watching you and I appreciate your efforts. Great job on the ASA championship, Tommy.....I'm not going to let you forget that you started winning when I came to Adirondack! To the track officials and employees - you are all great examples of a true work ethic under difficult circumstances. I was impressed how everyone would pitch in to do the job that needed to be done. To Paul Lyndaker - thanks for giving me a shot on nothing other than a reference from another track. You get blamed for everything from wrecks on the track to the weather. I admire your fortitude and determination to push ahead when the tide is against you. And finally the most important - the fans. Thanks for making the trips to the track and for being so patient with some of our shows. You guys obviously love winners as the drivers at the top of your fan poll were the points leaders. I really enjoyed getting to know some of you and hope to meet more of you down the road.

There were certainly some tough times this past year. For more on the truck situation from 9/19/09, see www.raceny.com and click on "AIS controversy - tech question". Some folks from some other tracks have posted comments that have been helpful.

Not sure what next year holds for AIS but if anyone has ideas, I'd like to hear them. Hope everyone has a great winter and that we can meet again soon!

It is kinda funny to put something on a different from not even stating the rule in question and get responses from it whoover did that is a genuis. of course your going to get legit answers cause they didnt see the rule til the end.

I for one went out and measured a stock 98 ford ranger to see if maybe it would be a big advantage to running one next year. lets see the frame rails were 9 inchs of the ground and the front crossmember was 9 inchs off the ground...... hmmmm thats weird on a stock truck they are the same measurement, how come on the #22 truck it is a 1 1/8 inch difference?(as stated on the other forum his crossmember is 5/8 below 5 and his frame rails are 1/2 above five).

I think i am going to go build me a ranger this year cause another neat part about them is the motor mounts on the crossmember.... so just cut the crossmember out bring it down a little bit weld it back in, since it is not part of the frame i think you can do that. put the motor back in it, a couple inches lower.... oh yeah guess i will have to also lower the transmission mount.... how much does a 4 cyl engine and transmission weigh? 300 lbs. maybe more, wow! what racer wouldnt want to lower 300 lbs a couple inches???
Sorry for the rambling but i dont think that this is right. and the track is trying to outsource to get answer so the can sleep at night, knowing they gave the victorys to cheaters.

yes he is related to the new sponsor of D&D..

Congrats #44 it was nice having someone beside the #22 win
You deserved it and worked hard.

ANNOUNCER! im sorry to mention but where have you been?
Did you fall asleep this whole '09 season..
AIS has lost numerous amounts of people.. they are not coming back.

AIS cannot pribe people with money it doesnt provide nor have.
Maybe if it got on track and gave out correct information on pay and scores etc. it would have a more civilized management.
Things are out of control and its sad to end this way.

Great year for the racers who had fun and worked hard!

Berryjerryman:

I am well aware of the many problems that have been cited at Adirondack International Speedway and there are even more that are not as much a part of public knowlege. It has definitely been a tough year for the track. To let everyone know your opinion of the current state of the speedway is one thing. To try and convince everyone to stay away is another. I am choosing to continue to work with the track for the drivers and fans who will be there, however few of them there may be. It's still racing and it's still fun. When it stops being fun, I'll likely stop doing this.

Thanks for your past support.

To the best of my knowledge, Andre owns and drives his own big truck, hauling cars. I don't know if he works at D&D.

D&D has been sponsoring the sport compact class for a while now so they are not new to AIS. Im sure there sponsorship has nothing to do with the truck class situation and they should not be dragged into it !! Andre also has nothing to do with it.

Gunner....No i know it has nothing to do with D&D just trying to make a point it has nothing to do with sponsors.. I know Andre used to work at D&D thats who i bought my first sled from ,,him and greg roes drag raced the sled. I don't think greg owns the truck? theres always alot of speculation at the track about why dqs are revoked but who knows??
