AIS Closed

Postby Steve10 on Mon Nov 02, 2009 11:48 am

Hello All,

I called Paul Lyndaker this morning and he confirmed that Adirondack International Speedway will be closed for the 2010 racing season.

According to Paul, he is closing to build a road course at AIS. He also said the “bashing” he took on this forum played into his decision. There are some money/tax issues but bankruptcy wasn’t one of them.

Sorry to be the messenger of the news, but in fairness to all involved with the track, I felt it important to learn the facts and disseminated them ASAP.

Also, Paul said the checks for the last race were being written as I spoke to him.

Personally, I’m very disappointed I won’t be racing at AIS next year. I do owe him a thank you, because he gave me an opportunity to have fun and meet a group of people I’m proud to call my friends.

this is very sad news,I will miss everyone, and a place to go for the weekend.lots of great meals at the campsite.and lots of friends to share with.I can't even imagine a summer without racing.I realize we could go to another track, but it won't be the same....I love being in registration,I love being a part of the action.I truly wish by some twist of fate, that the track would open, and continue to be a gathering for so many...such a beautiful facility,I hate to seeit all go to waste.even a lease agreement, would allow for a income flow.I am just heartbroke over the decision.I willcontinue to hope for a reverse decision.and a miracle to happen. LET'S KEEP RACING......

We are very enthusiastic about the upcoming racing season and are very confident we will be able to provide first class racing, at a first class facility, for first class people. Thank you again to everyone. Sincerely, Scott Zehr, AIS. this is what is on ais home page,so we are still playing games with the people.i have looked at other tracks and not one of them is run as poorly as ais and if paul does not like the bashing we do, he needs to get his head out of his a## and let someone else run it the right way

I guess i'm still hoping for a turn around and that the track opens....can't the track get municipal water? I wish a miracle would happen so this facility doesn't go to waste...

Track will be a joke until new ownership takes over. There was multiple offers years ago for a partnership, new influx of money to finish the track etc.... Current owner to stubborn to take the help.
